and, well, I have made my "New Year's resolution" in accordance with this four year plan... hell why wait for the new year? I started today by breaking out the neglected weight set and gave myself a good warm up session - to be continued... I forgot just how invigorating it can be.
Also, I resolved that my next move most certainly must be to finally ditch the car for something more practical. I hardly drive much these days and with insurance, gas prices, registration, and inspection the car as become much more of a liability anyway. So by mid January I will hopefully have that sold and be liberated of the unnecessary burden it has become.
I have already ditched the office job that made me adversely ill and zapped my will. to replace it, I hope to be getting a job right next door at the local nursery. There is surely nothing like working with your bare hands in the sun all day and the skills I develop there can only help move me in the direction I would like to take my life.
This four year plan is a great idea and I think that we can, to some degree at least, use this place as a support group to keep us all motivated (I hope that this is not out of line with the moderators intentions:). So what have you all been considering as we approach the first year of this "four year plan"?

Re: Year 1 is almost upon us...
Sun, December 12, 2004 - 8:01 AMWell, me and mine are currently in the mountains of Chiapas, MX for a few months. It's been an adjustment with the altitude, but I've slowly started my regiment of physical excercise. Managing an early morning wake up for the past week which definitely took some adjusting to.
Just a reminder that December 18th is the solstice, which is a perfect time for reaffirmation of one's principles. -

Re: Year 1 is almost upon us...
Tue, December 14, 2004 - 6:19 PMYes, thanks for the reminder Primus! I will actually be celebrating a friends birthday on the 19th which I have already affirmed as my last day for the pot and other such needless expenditures.
Still going strong on the exercises regiment. Just tonight completed the week cycle of my entire body work out. now that my schedule is starting to get back to normal after moving at the beginning of the month I am thinking of starting up yoga classes again (it's been a few years ;P).
Things so far couldn't be going better (cept for my car's brakes went out today which will either cost me more money to get fixed or I will have to sell it for less then I was hoping.) Thanks for the nutrition tip Chaz... I will do my best to watch these foods and begin eliminating them from my diet but I think that is something that is just going to start naturally once I get back into yoga (right now my body isn't ready to completely eliminate on account of my house-mates buying nothing but these foods)... but one step at a time while keeping the mind fixed on the goals is the best progress one can make so I don't fret it none.
Anyway, thanks again for the space Primus and on a side note for those looking to get moving on the collective objective for this first year which happens to be education check out my new tribe catalyst4change.tibe.net that I feel is very complimentary to that. I have also posted your listing for this tribe for everyone in there because I feel that our goals are mostly mutual.
Thanks again and keep pressing forward!
