Global Relocalization – A Call to Action

Support this very important call to action!

"The imminent peaking of global oil production and the fact that natural gas production has already peaked in North America could be the catalyst for positive transformation of industrial society. It could also be a recipe for disaster...
"...seeking like-minded organizations, volunteers, and activists to create a coalition to support community relocalization projects and experiments, as well as online database access and community tools that can help streamline the relocalization process. We are also organizing conferences and creating a speakers bureau with energy, biosphere, and localization experts to help spread the word."

I didnt mean to post that damnit... this is what I get for trying to do too many things at once!

here is what I was going for:

did anyone check out their wish list?...

*Frequent flier miles so we can get to the communities we are working with

*10 days of bandwidth for Global Public Media ($100)

*Development of a fundraising software designed to cultivate ongoing relationships with individuals: this will enable *Metafoundation to create the economic basis for continuing our mission ($3000)
*New lighting equipment; this will enable us to better illuminate interviewees for Global Public Media ($1000)
*Booth at the SF Green Festival this Nov.; this will enable us to get the word out to thousands of people ($900)
*Booth at the SF Green Festival in DC and travel this Sept.; this will enable us to get the word out to thousands of people in the nations capital ($1800)
*Booth at Solfest in Hopland CA this August; this will help us connect with people already thinking about getting off the grid ($500)
*Booth at the Sustainable World Symposium in San Francisco this June ($250)
*Raising More Money Seminar - so that we can become self-sustaining ($8000)

I was surprised how little their are actually asking for... does anyone here have the capability to provide any of the things on this list? The easiest thing that I noticed was posting info on Yahoo groups... what about other networks... does anyone here have subscriptions to other networks where they could share this info? would anyone like to join with me in distributing this around the net a little further... as you probably all noticed I have already canvased most of tribe.net... also posted a bulletin on myspace.com but I don't have a whole lot of friends there (too pop for me :p~).

    Ideas?
    Suggestions?
